MAE 2.0 Is Unable to Format Unformatted Floppies on HP

You may find that you are not able to format floppy disks that have never been formatted from within MAE (Macintosh Application Environment) on a HP (Newlett Packard) workstation. However, if a floppy has been previously formatted by DOS, UNIX< or MacOS, you are able to format it MAE>

To correct the problem first run 'mediainit' from an hpterm. Once it has been formatted as a UNIX disk, MAE will then be able to format the floppy.

For example: 


mediainit /dev/rfloppy/c201d0s0
