In the August 29, 1996 edition of the Info Alley we included an article titled, "Power Macintosh: Difficulty Using Floppy Disks." In this article we stated that a Power Mac Format Patch is required on on any Power Macintosh 7500, 7600, 8500, or 9500 computer with a 180 MHz or faster PowerPC processor. Several customers have asked where to obtain this patch so we wanted to update this information with the following:

The Power Mac Format Patch is needed on ONLY Power Macintosh 7500, 7600, 8500, or 9500 computers with a 180 MHz or faster PowerPC processor.

If you purchase a Power Macintosh 8500/180 or Power Macintosh 9500/180MP or the Power Macintosh 180 MHz Processor Upgrade Card Kit, the Power Mac Format Patch is included on a floppy disk.

The Power Mac Format Patch will also be posted to Apple Software Updates as well. Look for the posting notification in the Info Alley soon.
