The following software updates have been released. We have posted them to the Apple Software Updates areas on AppleLink, CompuServe, America Online, ftp.info.apple.com, ftp.support.apple.com, www.info.apple.com, and www.support.apple.com. HTML Editor's Note: Apple gets very overloaded at times, especially the ftp.support.apple.com server. All paths here are listed relative to Apple SW Updates folder. In all almost all cases for people using the Internet (ie, no getting it off AppleLink, Compuserver, or AOL directly), Apple SW Updates will be modified to read Apple_SW_Updates.

Additionally, some sites require you to burrow down before even reaching the Apple_SW_Updates directory (and, hence, following the path provided here). The ftp.info sites have, as of this writting, placed Apple_SW_Updates in the Apple.Support.Area directory (note the .s, they're essential). Here, I provide links to the directory on the machine I could get a connection with at the time of markup, your mileage may very.

Oh, before you ask, I've no clue about AppleLink, AOL, or Compuserve, don't even ask :).

Open Transport 1.1.1b7

Open Transport 1.1.1b7 - Unsupported beta release of Open Transport 1.1.1. Path: Apple SW Updates->US->Macintosh->Unsupported.

You can use this pre-release version of Open Transport 1.1.1 to preview its features, enhancements, and updates. Pre-release versions of Open Transport 1.1.1 have been tested by progressively larger audiences and are now being used by hundreds of customers and Mac OS developers.

Warnings and information about beta software Open Transport 1.1.1b7 is "beta software"; it is not the finished version of Open Transport 1.1.1.

This software is being provided for test purposes and does not come with Apple technical support. Do not call Apple technical support or the Apple Assistance Center with questions, comments, or problem reports about Open Transport 1.1.1b7.
