The latest QuickDraw GX 1.1.2 does not retain the positions of the desktop printer icons on the Finder. This is a known problem with QuickDraw GX 1.1.2, and will be fixed in the next major release of QuickDraw GX.

Workaround

Fortunately, there is a quick workaround for this problem. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Starup with Extensions off.
Step 2: Move the desktop printer icons to where you want them on the desktop.
Step 3: Restart

The desktop printers should remain where you have placed them.
