Reading the Information Alley on the World Wide Web

By Janet Christian

You can now read the Adobe Acrobat version of the Information Alley directly from the World Wide Web (WWW). Using a Web browser like Netscape or NCSA Mosaic, you select the Acrobat version of the Information Alley you want to read and double click on it. The file is automatically downloaded to your system and displayed on your desktop. Please note that the speed of downloading depends on the speed of your Internet connection. You must have enough RAM in your system to run a Web browser and Acrobat (8 MB).

Internet paths to the Information Alley

To facilitate reading the Information Alley from the WWW, we moved the magazine from its former location (ftp.austin.apple.com) to several new locations. The following are the new Internet paths to the Information Alley.

All Acrobat files are saved in the PDF format and are designated by .pdf at the end of the file. To view the PDF files you must download Adobe Acrobat, which is freely available from Adobe.

We hope you find this new direct read capability useful and time-saving. We apologize for any confusion relocating the files may have caused. The Famous Apple!
