In the April 29, 1996 edition of the Info Alley we published an article called, "Macintosh Family: Upgrade History", and we have since received a number of questions about it. So, we wanted to respond to these questions in this edition since many of you share the same questions.

  • Not all of these upgrades are currently available. This is a comprehensive listing of all the Macintosh upgrades that were EVER available from Apple Computer, Inc. In the beginning of the article there is a note that explains that only those upgrades with a * next to them are current upgrades, which means they are either on the current price list or have been just announced. Many of the upgrades that are no longer available were available for many years.

  • We know that PowerBook computers were not on this list. We are working to put together a similar list for these computers, and when it is available we will post it to the Info Alley as well.

  • For pricing information, you should contact a local Apple-authorized reseller. If you do not know of a local reseller in your area, you can call (800) 538-9696 to locate one.The Famous Apple!
