Space Ship Cupertino When you perform the "close all" command (press the Option key and click the Close box) all the windows on your desktop, including the Launcher, close. There is no way to prevent this.

Here are two ways of easily reopening the Launcher:

  • You can create an alias of the Launcher on the desktop, which would normally be hidden under the Launcher window when it is open. Any time you close all of the windows, you could then simply double-click the Launcher alias, now visible, and open it again.

  • You can create an alias to the Launcher and put it in the Apple Menu Items folder in the System Folder. You then easily access it by pulling down the Apple Menu. The Famous Apple!
