This article details where Apple Software Updates are posted and available for downloading.

DISCUSSION

Apple Software Updates include all of the latest updates of Apple software, including most printer drivers, System Enablers, updates to utilities, and networking and communication software. Customers should read the posted Apple Software License Agreement before downloading any software.

Currently, AppleAssist posts Apple Software Updates to the following online services:

1. Internet: Apple World Wide Web and ftp sites: http://www.info.apple.com or http://www.support.apple.com
2. ftp URL: ftp://ftp.info.apple.com or ftp://ftp.support.apple.com
3. Gopher: gopher.info.apple.com
4. America Online (keyword: applecomputer)
5. CompuServe (GO APPLE, GO APLSUP, GO APLWW)

In addition, Apple maintains a list of all available mirrors of Apple SW Updates on the Internet. This list is available using the following URL: http://www.info.apple.com/

Specific paths and details for each service follow:

America Online

Use the keyword: applecomputer to take you directly to the Apple Computer, Inc. window. Click on the software button located in the lower left side of the Apple area window to go directly to the Apple software updates collection.

CompuServe

Apple software updates are posted to several forums on CompuServe.

• Apple Computer Area - main window (GO APPLE) lists all Apple forums. To go to the Apple software updates collections directly, refer to one of the following GO words:
