How to Stop the "Are You Sure You Want to Empty Trash?" Message
If you prefer not to be bothered with the warning message each time you empty the Trash, select the Trash can and choose Get Info from the File menu. Click the Warn before emptying option so that it's no longer selected. That's all there is to it.
