New Software Updates

• LaserWriter 8.3.2 - While, the software itself has not changed, this is newer disk set of the LaserWriter 8.3.2 software includes ColorSync 2.0 and comes on 1.4MB disks instead of 800k. The older disk set will remain posted to support those customers who have an 800k disk drive.

• PB 2300c Update 1.0 - The PowerBook 2300c Update extension addresses an issue which could cause the trackpad in these systems to lock up (freeze) for a few seconds. This extension is only for existing PowerBook 2300c customers - new systems ship with it installed.

• Foreign keyboard layouts - This is not an update, but it is the first time keyboard layouts other than US (English) have been available from Apple online. The following layouts have been posted: Australian, British, Canadian - CSA, Canadian - ISO, Canadian French, Danish, Danish Mac Plus, Dutch, Español, Español ISO, Finnish, Flemish, French, French - numerical, German, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish, Swiss French, and Swiss German

• Apple CD-ROM Setup 5.0.1 - This extension is being posted to work around a known issue with 6100 DOS machines not seeing CD ROM discs in the DOS environment when using CD-ROM 5.1.2.

  Note: Version 5.0.4 of the Apple CD-ROM extension should only be used by DOS Compatibility Card owners having trouble mounting CD ROM discs on the DOS side. If this is the case, you should replace any newer version of the Apple CD-ROM extension with this version. To replace the newer version, simply drag this extension onto the System Folder. Replace the existing file if asked to do so. If you are not a DOS Compatibility Card owner, you should use CD-ROM Setup 5.1.2, which is also posted in this area.
